Ventoux Trial Classic 2018

2012, 2015 and now 2018 I competed in the VTC Classic Trial. 360 Twinshockers in 120 teams of 3 riders. Enrollement needs some documents, a road registred moto with lights and 2 friends to form a team of 3. Our team only Honda consoted of Edy Adam Honda TLR 250, Christian Weibel Honda TLR 250 and me Patrick Frei on Hond TL 250 (1975). 8 hours travel from Zurich on Friday, with a stop over at Dherbey Moto Vinay, the biggest trial dealer in France, over 100 new trial motos exhibitded.
Part 1 Arrival on Friday
A mild october evening greated me at the foof of the famous Mt. Ventoux in Provence. It was great to meet friends form all over Europe plus legends like Charles Coutard, Mick Andrews, Jaime Subira, Gilles Burgat, Frec Michaud, Jaime Subira.

There were a lot of nicely rebuilt competition Twinshocks to admire in the parc fermé. Also xmas for big boys with shopping stands.

After all the administration and shopping, I visited my German friends Johannes and Gaby, where I was invited for some beers, bred and cheese. Before sleeping, I walked up to down town Malaucene. the first bar on the left had a screen with trials video, so I sat down and ordered a beer, smoked a cigarillo and enjoyed the still warm evening. Wow, even a rock band started to play and the terasse soon got crowed. Even the VIP guest of honour Mick Andrews appeared and I could get a signed foto!
