Old Trial Canzo 9-10 Aprile 2016
Traditionally, the trials season starts in spring with the Trial in Caglio. Everybod hopes for nice sun shine above the hills of Lago di Como.
Walter organised a boy for his cows and we loaded at 7h in the morning the Renault Espace with BSA and my Honda TL 250. No queing at SAn Gotardo tunnel and easy passing the boarder at Chiasso with our documents.
We arrived about 10.30 in Canzo and prepared men and machine. At the Sara Hotel, the place was crowded with Spanish riders, some I knew from Mont Ventoux Trial, some were new to me. Our friends from Austria and Germany arrived already on Friday and after a warm hello, we roled down town Canzo to the start. There we met other friends and also Ex works rider Jaime Subira as the most VIP rider was at the start on his Fantic.

There were not so many starters and after about 20 min. I could ride up the starting ramp in the village. Jupee, Trial starts!

This year I rode for the first time the middle yellow line, which was perfect, but sometimes still tricky. I enjoyed it, and was glad not to break my Honda in the difficult green line.
The usual diner in the group followed, where I met several new spanish riders (Javier, Jordi, Jaime). Some came by airplane form Barcelona and rented a trials bike.
Some sleep and a fresh espresso to wake up on Sunday morning.

One bad habit of this so nice event is, that only the riders with an Italian licence appear on the results list, but not the foreign riders.
I think many participants would like to know after the trial, where they are and compare the results with the friends. Here the official results. Some riders of the difficult green line are really incredible, I must say. Bravo!

We enjoyed nice weather, met many old and new friends and will come back again. The travel back home to Zurich was done in record time with no que at the San Gottardo tunnel... unbelivable !
